All That’s Left

What do you do when the truth
is harder to accept than the lie
What do you do after years of crying out
with no reply
Your faith is shattered,
answers seem to point you the other way
And those you’ve looked to for answers
turn away

What do you do when speaking truth gets you nowhere
When burdens become too great to bear
When even your loved ones turn against you
And your best attempts still lead nowhere

No earthly answers suffice what I see
And the only good left in me
Is this little seed of faith
I hang onto with all my might
Clinging tightly to it
I fully surrender my life.
