Your Will

Poetry

Open my ears to hear

So that I would do things differently

Than I’ve done before

Open my eyes to see

So that I’d walk in obedience

When You open the door

Hope

Poetry

My hope points in the wrong directionIt’s simplistic and misguided

Turn my hope toward the things You want for me

And my hope will guide my feet.
Psalm 20:4
May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

For Our Good

Poetry

There are certain lessons lost

When walking in the shade

But those learned when scorched

Are quickly not to fade

I wish I could learn

Just as well on easy days

But my stubborn heart says no

I will always find another way

I’m so glad You are stronger

Than my resistance, my pain

That You will use all this time

Still for my growth and gain.

Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
