Purpose in the Valleys

Poetry

Never would we ask

For the pain endured

But never should we trade it

For the pain is often the cure

The searing, the tearing

The ripping apart

To piece back together

The foundation of our hearts

The Wild

Poetry

I took a step forward And there was no trail

Nothing to follow

No crumb, no sign, no sail
I took another step

Now in the wild

Surrounded by the unknown

Adventure lurking for miles
One step after another

Still unsure what next I’d find

When the unpaved road turned

Leaving all uncertainty behind
Enveloped in pastures of green

Learning in the wild and free

No path, no fear

Just my steps, my heart and me
