Come Back

I looked for good and I found it

I looked for bad and you had that too

I lost myself when I was too busy

Searching endlessly for you

Forget it all you cried

Forget I made you bleed

I’ll make it worth your while, I swear

So come on back to me

I looked for love and chased it

I looked for thrills, soft and bare

I came face to face with angels

Pulling me back to your cold stare

Forget it all you cried

Don’t believe the truth you see

I’ll make it worth your while, I swear

So come on back to me

I looked for a door and found it

I looked for peace beyond your room

If I never see you again my love

That’d still be way too soon

Poetry

I’d Rather

I’d rather have peace

than excitement

Rather be wrong in my faith

than selfish in my doubt

Rather be judged for childlike faith

than for my life when I am faithless

I’d rather believe the Bible

than the guesses in my head

I’d rather seek an invisible God

Than seek fruitless desires instead.

Romans 1:20

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
