You will make a way through this uncertain road
You’ll clear a path and illuminate my stepping stones.
Where will you take me? You will not say.
Only that you love me and you know the way.
Along the path my Lord leads me, whispering as we go.
Invisible safety embraces me disguised as a “not now” or a “no”.
Holding me to say “wait”, releasing me when it’s time to go.
Where he is leading me, I don’t yet need to know.
There are some unpaved roads ahead
It looks a little rough
My heart is ready, my water is filled
My soles are a little tough
The winds may knock me down
A time or two or three
I may need to stop and rest
I need to remember to breathe
But this is what I’m made for
Walking this wilderness
Experiencing life and learning
Becoming my very best
You use pain to show me your healing
You use weakness to show me your strength
You use sadness to show me your joy
So rain down your will on me today.
How can I complain when trials come,
when they open my eyes to your face
throws me in your arms
So rain down more troubles today.
